To demonstrate the effectiveness of regional TV advertising and accurately measure return on advertising investment, RTM has a programme in place to provide advertisers with sales data and analysis for their brand and category at regional market level at no cost to them.

The RTM research programme has been instrumental in helping to improve advertisers'  total return on marketing investment and in enabling regional TV to gain a greater share of advertisers' budgets.

A selection of case study examples is available to download below. The examples indicate each brands’ responsiveness to bursts of regional TV activity and summarise return on investment for regional and metro markets.

Two key findings that became evident across all categories were:

  • Return on investment from TV advertising in regional markets is at least double the national average 
  • Consumer response to regional TV advertising is above the national average when comparable campaign weights are used
