Twenty six markets, one idea
Regional free to air TV broadcasts to all parts of Australia outside the five mainland capital cities, reaching over 8 million people. In all parts of regional Australia whether town, coast or country Free to Air TV provides the only truly mass communications channel for advertisers both national and local.
There are five major eastern regional markets, known as "aggregated" markets which can be further broken down to 19 individual regional sub markets. The aggregated markets and Regional WA ratings data is collected using 'peoplemeter' technology, with full planning and ratings data available in line with Metro market standards.
The regional markets of SA and NT as well as outback areas of QLD and NSW are surveyed using diary research methodology. There are six individual diary markets.
