Regional consumers ignore the gloom as key indicators point to spending growth in regional TV markets
The overwhelming national mood of consumers for the first six months of 2011 has been one of caution. Spending has declined, savings have increased and consumers have reduced their debt burden. However the decline in positive sentiment is not universal.
Consumers living in regional Australia have, to a large extent, avoided the negativity of metro markets and in fact are looking forward to the next year with a degree of optimism that is in contrast to the national mood.
